Doctor, why can't I speak….? The staring eyes were saying.

A blink was "yes," two were "no"….the language they were speaking.

Turmoil of emotions was flowing as occasional tears.

Inability to move, not even a flicker,

Wrenching hearts of the on-looking kins.

World of thoughts is all for him to embrace,

Worldly action abhorred, with only hope of moving ahead.

We as a medical team can comfort, care, and treat,

Trying to bring back, the missing link,

Between the free will and the flying wings.

Reasons are just to enumerate,

But in the hurricane of circumstances, the thought ship needs to rest.

Free will to neurons, neurons to the muscles, and muscles to the world,

A path so natural, but when it fails…………

Acknowledgment: My patients.
