Sir,

We truly agree with the comment that "dot" sign is a nonspecific sign and encephalitis is not a common presentation of dengue fever. Dot sign can be seen in a variety of disorders ranging from epilepsy, infections, inflammatory,to metabolic disorders. [1] It is important to recognize "dot sign" as it usually denotes a mild form of encephalopathy. Further investigations or change in treatment are not warranted based on this imaging sign as the splenial hyperintensity disappears in few weeks. [2] We have published this article to make the readers aware of this sign, as it should not be mistaken for something more sinister.
