Sitting beside the examining table, It's about midnight in the clock!
Suddenly, I heard a ringing ambulance, I heard a crying flock!
The atmosphere, flashing red and blue, Tense as always, it never gives a clue!
My curious resolved eyes turned to the door, Could I do something, or would it turn my heart sore?
Yesterday's little angel flashes in my mind, Seizing, twitching was she, with vanishing vital signs,
A timely IV push, saved the day, A grateful mothers smile were the only words to say!
And today's old man I can never forget Struck by a merciless truck and we had nothing to whet
Stuck at the crossroads of mind, I ponder to or not to regret? But here comes the family sweetheart, unconscious, there's no time to be upset!
Best will be our efforts and nothing left unexplored, But we have limitations and that's the truth at its core!
The ringing ambulance has stopped, heaving sighs of expectation, Has its wheels done the job, is it on time at the station?
