Clinical examination revealed ophthalmoplegia, cerebellar signs and sluggish deep tendon refl exes. MRI of the brain showed a single hyperintense lesion in the pons, On T2 W images which moderately enhanced with contrast. He rapidly recovered following intravenous steroids
